Interviews with members of the Writers Guild of America
WGA captain and IATSE member, Joelle Garfinkel, has written episodes for Foundation, Fire Country and Cam Girls. During the strikes, she founded the Green Envelope Grocery Aid as a grassroots effort to provide mutual aid to all industry members in need. Her efforts raised over $264,000 and provided $100 grants to 2,698 people.

Jay Kogen is a writer/producer known for The Simpsons, Frasier, and Malcolm in the Middle. The son of writer Arnie Kogen, Jay wrote the strike-themed episode, "Last Exit to Springfield" in season 4 of The Simpsons.

Giselle Legere is a writer known for New Amsterdam and Quantico. She began her career as an epidemiologist in bio-defense, then turned to writing. Her family fled from Cuba as political refugees and she grew up in Miami, a member of the hearing impaired community.

Ken Levine is an Emmy winning writer/director/producer in a career that has spanned over 30 years. His credits include M*A*S*H, Cheers, Frasier, The Simpsons, Wings, Everybody Loves Raymond, Becker, Dharma & Greg, and Almost Perfect. Ken is a veteran of five writers strikes since joining the WGA.

Joseph Mwamba is a first-generation African-American Young Adult writer from Indiana known for Splinter Cell and You. During the Writers' Strike, Joseph organized pickets for emerging writers and partnered in fundraisers to help others in need. Currently, he runs the WGA Virtual Mix with Jelena Woehr which welcomes WGA and pre-WGA writers to participate on Discord.

Mike Royce is a writer/producer known for One Day at a Time, Men of a Certain Age, and Enlisted. He is also a passionate union supporter, picketing along side healthcare workers, auto workers and hotel workers during the labor strikes.

Patric Verrone was a member of the WGA 2023 Negotiating Committee, and has been a WGAW member since 1987. He served as President from 2005 to 2009, Secretary-Treasurer from 2001 to 2004, and as a member of the Board of Directors from 1999 to 2011, and 2013 to 2022. His writing credits include The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The Critic, The Simpsons, Pinky and the Brain, Rugrats, Muppets Tonight!, Disenchantment, Spitting Image, and Futurama.

Audrey Knox is a literary manager at Cartel, with clients in film and television, among whom are writers staffed on Reasonable Doubt, Ginny & Georgia, Grown-ish, and P-Valley; who have written episodes of Nancy Drew and Batwoman; and are writing for Disney, Netflix, Mattel, DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, and Marvel. Her nine-year-old rescue mutt has performed with the comedy rap trio Three Loco.
